Linux Ubuntu: How to Install Ubuntu 11.04 Desktop

That needs to be prepared before installing Ubuntu 11.04 Desktop is:

Provide Ubuntu 11.04 Desktop CD Installer
PC or Laptop, I recommend 1 GB of RAM for optimal system requirements. Here I install Ubuntu 11.04 with a size of 8 GB hard disk and 512 MB RAM.

Step 1
Turn your PC / Laptop to install Ubuntu 11.04, Ubuntu 11.04 installer CD insert into CD / DVD ROM drive, make sure the first boot in the BIOS settings are CD / DVD ROM.

Step 2: Welcome
Wait for the boot process that goes from the CD, to appear like the picture below. If you want to try Ubuntu 11.04 Desktop click the Try Ubuntu, because we want to install directly, then select / click the Install Ubuntu.

Step 3: Preparing to Install Ubuntu
Information will appear on the preparation for installing Ubuntu, the Ubuntu 11.04 size hard drive for at least a capacity of 4.4 GB, connected to a power supply voltage, and if you can connect to the internet, but I can not connect to the internet, knowing there are no funds, hihi.
Click on the Forward button to continue.

Step 4: allocate drive space
To create a partition manually, select Something else, click the Forward button to continue.

Step 5: allocate drive space
Click the New Partition Table to create a new partition table that can be created partitions.

Step 6: allocate drive space
Confirmation message will appear if we are going to create the partition table or not, click the Continue button to proceed.

Step 7: allocate drive space
Select / click on the writings of free space to create a partition on the hard drive space available, and then click the Add button to create a new partition.

Step 8: allocate drive space
Partitions are first made the swap partition to create a swap partition, the partition type select Primary. Enter the partition size to be created, because the RAM that I use is 512 MB, then the swap partition that I created is 2x RAM or 1024 MB. At the location of the partition select Beginning. Then in use as, select swap area. Click the OK button.

Step 9: allocate drive space
The swap partition has been created, the next partition to be created is / (read: root). Like the previous step, click on the words free space or area size hard Disk empty, then click the Add button to add a partition.

Step 10: allocate drive space
To create a partition / (read: root), the partition type select Primary. Enter the large size to be used for partition / (read: root), the partition that I made was the rest of the hard drive size is 7565 MB. At the location of the partition select Beginning. Then in use as, select Ext 4 Journaling file system. At Mount point, select / (read: root). Click the OK button.

Step 11: allocate drive space
Partitioning is needed already created, then click the Install Now button to proceed to step installation process Ubuntu 11.04.

Step 12: Where are you?
Select the area where you are, because I'm in Indonesia, the Time zone that I use is Jakarta. Click on the Forward button to continue..

Step 13: Keyboard Layout
Select the keyboard layout is used, which is used the keyboard in general is a standard QWERTY keyboard or the USA. Then click the Forward button to continue.

Step 14: Who are you?
The final step for Ubuntu 11.04 installation setup process is to create a username to login on Ubuntu 11.04. Enter your name, your computer name, username and password. Then click the Forward button to continue.

Step 15: The installation process Ubuntu 11.04 Desktop
Ubuntu 11.04 installation process takes a fairly long time.

Step 16: Completing Installation
Ubuntu 11.04 installation process is complete, click the Restart Now button to restart your computer.

Step 17: Login Ubuntu 11.04 Desktop
Display Login Ubuntu 11.04, enter the appropriate username password that have been made according to step 14. Then click the Login button.
